The flight to miami was short and sweet. I think I actually preferred the change in plans because it was less time on a plan and more time on the ground. We got to have some dinner and Miami and the four of us were able to talk and get to know each other. We left Miami around 750 and arrived in San Jose around 1040 Atlanta time. Going through customs was pretty simple. The baggage claim was really small and it would have been a breeze, but there was only one problem. The 20 pound bag of school supplies my sister gave to me to transport down there. I know what you're gonna say Sarah, I told you to disperse it amongst the others, but that was easier said than done.
We found a person with a sign and were directed out of the airport. The linguistics teacher Erin found us and said the others were on their way out. We all met up and got on a small bus and headed off to our hotel. The bus driver took us to an amazingly chic hotel and we all got excited, but then we found out that that wasn't our hotel. So we headed off to the right one, which is adorable. I'm in a small room with Kate and Allison. It's quite lovely.
Tomorrow we were supposed to go to museums, but our bus reservation says that we are in fact going to Guayabo tomorrow, so we must be up at 6 am to be on the bus by 630!!! An because of that I am going to try and get some sleep!

I don't know what that means KK?!? Could you not get the supplies through customs?
ReplyDeleteDid you find the Virginia Tech students alright?
